The new PCTI2.5 a piggable coil-tubing Inspector

DESCRIPTION
The new PCTI2.5 utilizes the magnetic flux leakage (MFL) non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technique for on–the-reel, in-yard inspection of coil tubing (CT) with 2.5-inch inside diameter (ID).
The PCTI2.5 ’s value proposition to customers is based on the following benefits:
- Reduces the logistics, cost and time of inspection
- Avoids the uncoiling of CT strings from reel to reel, thus eliminating  metal fatigue cycles
- Being 12 inches in length, it is highly portable and can be transported safely to offshore locations
FEATURES
Defect Detection
 - The PCTI2.5 is capable of detecting defects such as: corrosion, pitting and wall thinning
- The tool has navigation sensors for tracking its position and locating defects
Resolution
- Sub-millimeter spatial resolution along pipe axis (up to 0.7mm)
- Sensor ring consisting of 9 triplets of MFL sensors
Geometrical Abilities
-Accomodates up to ±10% of internal diameter variation, allowing for tapered strings
- Overcomes internal mechanical obstacles such as the flash-line and weld beads
Operational Specifications
- The PCTI2.5 is  piggable at up 5 ft/sec
- It is sealed and water-proof
